Lent Almsgiving

This Lent our almsgiving offering will be given to
the Society of St Vincent de Paul. You will find
envelopes in the pews with a St Vincent de Paul
label. According to custom, you are asked to make a
sacrifice of eating one small meal in place of a large one
and place the difference of the cost in your almsgiving
offering. Please return your offering by Easter. The Society
of St Vincent de Paul operates with the generosity of YOU.
Thank you for your generosity.

NOVEMBER FREE COMMUNITY LUNCH

We wish to thank all of the volunteers who came out on a blustery Saturday to help prepare and serve our Thanksgiving meal on November 18. Also, many thanks to the men who delivered meals to the homebound and to the homeless. We provided 112 individual meals and 38 persons came back for a second plate, making a total of 150 meals. The many donations of warm winter items was greatly appreciated by the recipients. We will serve a Christmas ham dinner on Saturday, December 16. We are in need of fresh fruit and cookies as well as personal products (shampoo, body lotion, liquid soap, and deodorant). If you can provide any of these items, please contact Mary Koppi at 815-232-4687. Thank you for your continued generous support of our ministry to feed the hungry and we wish you and yours a Blessed Christmas Season. ~The Society of St Vincent de Paul

There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, November 5, at 6:30pm in the Daleiden Room.

Due to illness and retirements, we are very shorthanded and unable to handle the increase in calls. Please consider helping with this very important Ministry.
