Bible Study Refuting Lies about the Catholic Church

Fr Barr is giving a talk on the Bible and the Catholic Teachings based on a letter placed on the windshields after the 10;30 Mass a month ago. Jesus is calling us to learn more about the faith and be able to “Venerate the Lord, that is, Christ in your hearts. Should anyone ask you the reason for this hope of yours, be ever ready to reply, but speak gently and respectfully. Keep your conscience clear, so that, whenever you are defamed, those who libel your way of life in Christ may be shamed” (1 Peter 3:15-16). Come and larn more about the beauty of the Catholic faith and why we do the starnge things we do.

The talk will be given Saturday, January 25 at 10:30am in the Holy Family Community Center. 725 State Ave, Freeport IL. All are welcome. 

Fireside Bus Trips in 2020

Fireside 2020We have reservations for two shows at the Fireside Dinner Theatre this year. Our first show is “JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT” on Wednesday, October 7. The second show is the Holiday show, “HOLIDAY INN,” which we will see on Wednesday, December 2.

Many performances for both of these show are already sold out. I encourage you to make reservations early, as it is not likely that I will be able to add to our number.
