Peter said, “Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope” (1 Peter 3:15). He continues that we do this with virtue. The world likes to devalue the knowledge of God and His ways. They think it is something of lesser importance.
God’s ways are wise and lead us to goodness. Learning of God’s ways help us discover who He is by discovering His wisdom, peace, and love. To know God we must first know about Him. This is where Scripture interpreted correctly with the help of sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3-4) leads us to a better relationship with the all-powerful God.
How do we get this sound doctrine? As adults, we can get it through Adult Education programs in various forms. As children, we take RE (Religious Education) programs. For those inquiring about the Catholic faith, they may join the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) classes.
