All around the church are the sunlit stained glass windows, gracefully reaching for the sky. High up on the stained glass windows are round images. There are twenty-one of them, with various images, adorning the walls and the pews they shine on.
The round windows symbolize the infinite God. God is the only being that was neither created, nor can be destroyed. He is the being that gave existence to all other things that have existence. He is also the being that sustains everything in existence. He provides us with continued existence until our very physical ends. He gives us food to eat, water to drink, and all the things we need throughout our life. He gives us every breath we take and the ability for our hearts to beat. For us as humans, He is the one who can ensure our continued existence after our physical death in this world. God has no end. He has the ability to not only sustain us in this life, but to sustain us for the rest of time and beyond. He is the one who has the last say on where we will be in our eternity.

This symbol of the infinite God goes deeper than that He exists with no beginning or end. This is really something to ponder in the greatness of God. There are more ways that God is infinite than humanity is aware of. Since God is infinite, all attributes to Him are infinite. His love, mercy and kindness are but a few. These are proven by how many times we are forgiven and how many times we get to receive communion. Now multiply that by the number of humans who have ever lived. Remember, every breath we take is a gift. Every time our hearts takes a beat, that is a grace. Truly, His love, mercy and kindness must be infinite.
One focus of His attributes is His mind or intellect. God knows all things. There are no limits to His knowledge. He knows all our thoughts and feelings. He knows every thought and feeling we ever have had and ever will have. He knows these things, but not just about you. He knows these things about every person who ever existed, exists now and will exist. Nothing can be hidden from Him. As the Bible says, in Psalm 139 (v1-18):
“O LORD, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, you know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is too high; I cannot attain to it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night,” even the darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.”

The greatness of God is reflected in His infinite goodness. Praise God!
