St Mary – St Joseph Religious Education 2019 – 2020

Registration for Religious Education is underway. Forms can be picked up Monday-Friday during office hours at the St Joseph – St Mary Parish office, or at the Religious Education office Monday and Tuesday mornings from 8:30am until noon. Please return the completed forms along with payment as soon as possible. For all children preparing for First Holy Communion, we must have a copy of their Baptism Certificate.

Help Needed Please: We are in need of teacher aides, and someone to teach 3rd and 4th grade. Aides can assist in the classroom, help plan events, offer one-on-one tutoring, and help wherever we need help. If you volunteer (and are over 18), you must take the Protecting God’s Children course, which is an online course that can be done at home or at the church office during normal office hours. Or, if we have a minimum of 6 people interested in taking the course, we can schedule a time and someone will come here and teach the class. The Diocese requires all volunteers to take this course. You must also have a background check done before you can volunteer for any type of church function. (We will do the background check.)
The first day of class is Sunday, September 8, 2019. This will be a Family Session and a welcome breakfast. Come and see the new things that are going on this year. All classes are held at the Holy Family Community Center from 9:00am until 10:15am. For more information, please contact the Religious Education Office at 815-232-8271, ext. 5. Thank you for supporting the spiritual growth of our Parish Community.
