What's new for St Joseph and St Mary Parishes!

Brats and Donuts

We will be having donuts every week in Fr. Barr’s garage after the 10:30am Mass on Sundays. If there is still a desire for it and we can accommodate, we can have them year round. We are looking at putting together a schedule for those who would like to contribute by baking goodies to give an option other than Dunkin Donuts.

We will be cooking brats, hot dogs and burgers in Fr. Barr’s garage on Saturday evenings right after the 5:30pm Mass. This will be done about once a month till we can no longer cook on the grill outside. We are looking at getting some volunteers to bring a dish to pass (potato salad, salad, chips… etc.).

We are just asking for donations to cover the cost. It is just an opportunity for God’s people to come together and enjoy friends in Christ Jesus. All are welcome from St Joseph and St Mary parishes. Bring a friend!

We are two Catholic Churches close to downtown Freeport, IL. Our communities are over 150 years old and have been dedicated to our lord Jesus Christ since our inception. We believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was concieved by the Holy Spirit, born of ythe Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilot, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
