The Ladies Guild will meet on Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 pm in the parish center. A guest speaker, Sara Goers, from the Freeport Health Network will give a presentation on poison prevention. Enjoy food, fun and fellowship.
Friday, we will meditate on the Stations of the Cross at St Mary Church at 12:10pm.
Also on Friday we will have a Holy Hour and Healing Service at 4:30pm at St Jose3ph Church.
The Stations of the Cross follows immediately after at 5:30pm in St Joseph Church.
The Light of the World Retreat will commence Friday night with registration at 6pm in the Holy Family Community Center. The retreat will go through the weekend and end with two hours on onday night. Everybody is welcome. You will not regret going!
It’s funny how God works with us. We are now into the season of Lent. That’s a time when many of us stop and reflect. Often, we will pick out a penance as a means of spiritual discipline, and sometimes for some good that we need to seek out. (Is it time to finally quit smoking? Lent is a time of penance a season of confessions. Confession can be a scary thing to do. I suppose many from outside the Church do not understand why we would go.
